To those working in a day trading system, stock trading system, futures trading system, options trading system, or other trading systems, momentum is known as the rate of acceleration of a security's price or volume. It's used more for short term results, and traders hope that the uptrend or downtrend in a given financial instrument continues.

We found the visual example below in our Live Trading Room.  Notice the uptrend in the stock. The price action was very uniform for nearly a full month.  That what we in the trading world like to call "momo".  Wink
